Medi-Tap Privacy Policy

Article 1. Introduction

Medi-Tap is a medication management app designed to be easy to use, especially for older adults. The app is provided by BucksBox.ai (hereinafter, we or us).

We consider your privacy to be of the utmost importance. Medi-Tap is designed so that all information you enter stays only on your iPhone or iPad, and is never sent to any external server or cloud service. This Privacy Policy explains, as clearly as possible, what information the app handles, for what purposes, and how it is protected.

Article 2. Our Basic Approach

The app works without any internet communication. The medication information and records you enter are stored only on your device, and cannot be viewed by any third party, including us. No account registration or sign-in is required.

Article 3. Information We Handle

All information handled by the app is entered or configured by you and is stored only on your device. Specifically, it includes the following.

(1) Medication information

The name of each medication, the amount taken at one time, the timing (morning, noon, evening, night), and the scheduled time. It also includes your dose records, such as when and which medication you took, whether it was taken, and any optional notes you enter.

(2) Emergency contact information

The names and phone numbers of contacts such as emergency services, your doctor, family members, and your pharmacy. You can register the emergency services number for your own region yourself.

(3) App settings

Your notification on/off setting and the notification permission status. The permission status is used only to check your iPhone's settings.

This information does not include any personally identifying information other than names, such as email addresses or location data. The names and phone numbers of emergency contacts are entered by you on an optional basis, as needed.

Article 4. Where Information Is Stored and How It Is Protected

All information in the app is stored only on your device. It is never sent to any external server or cloud service. Storage uses the database features built into iOS, and the data is protected by the device's standard encryption and by per-app protection (the sandbox), so that other apps cannot access it.

If you have enabled iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer, the app's data may be included in that backup through the standard iOS feature. This depends on your own settings, and you can exclude it by turning the backup off.
