Chapter 1. Getting Started

SubPatrol does three things.

First, it records the subscriptions you pay for. You enter the service name, the price, the billing cycle (monthly or yearly), the start date, and the next payment date. Notes are optional.

Second, it shows them all in one place. Your subscriptions are listed by upcoming payment date, and the top of the screen shows your totals for each currency, both monthly and yearly. Tap the totals card to see how each figure is calculated.

Third, it reminds you before a payment is due. By default, reminders arrive at 9:00 a.m. on the 7th day, the 3rd day, and the day before each payment.

The Settings screen also includes a How to use section with the same guidance.

Chapter 2. Reminders

If reminders are not arriving

First, open the Settings app on your iPhone, go to Notifications, select SubPatrol, and check that Allow Notifications is turned on.

If the reminder text is hidden on the Lock Screen, check the Show Previews setting on the same screen. Choosing Always will display the service name and price on the Lock Screen.

Also check, in the app's own settings, that the reminder timings (7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before) are not all turned off.
